New connection, advice needed on stats if poss...

      Hi guys

Firstly, great forum, been really useful over the past few weeks as i've been connected firstly to Sky HD, then to Sky Talk and yesterday, finally to Sky BB.

I'm hoping someone can give me some advice on my stats below for my BB connection, I've signed up with Sky Broadband Max (only activated yesterday) and am really disappointed with the download speed i'm getting (around 4 Mbit/s). I've provided stats from master socket and test socket if that helps any!

In the letter I was sent out, Sky did say I should expect between 8-16 Mbit/s and I live only around 300 metres from the exchange.

Can anyone give me any advice as to what might be going wrong and if I the best thing to do would be to contact Sky, anything specific that I should ask for?

Any help you can offer would be much appreciated!! Cheers!

DLM is running on your line, you will eventually get the speed they promised. If it has not improved after about 10 days, post back with your new stats. Do you have phone extensions? If so they are pretty good as they do not appear to be effecting your connection.

If you do ever plug anything into it, remember to use a filter.

If it's not being used I would unplug it from the master socket, this will ensure that the wiring is not transmitting any interference into the adsl signal.

You can leave the wires coiled up inside so if you do ever decide to use it you can.
