      Unhappy Attachments

Is there a maximum file size that can be attached to an e-mail? I keep getting error messages with attachments ooops 8, despite my file size being less than 3 mb. I can't seem to find any official guidelines. Do I have to reconfigure my email setup? I am having to send my messages with attachments with googlemail, yet skymail is operated by googlemail. Please advise
      Kind regards:

      Re: Attachments

The normal size of an email attachment, i think can be upto something like 10mb so a 3mb file should not be a problem.

      Re: Attachments

It could be your software which is stopping certain file extensions. I have just done a couple of tests with 4Mb files(PDFs) and they go through without a hitch. Try putting the attachment in a zipped folder and see if it sends.

      Re: Attachments

if you still have problems you could use a file hosting service like usendit.com

They will ket you host 100mb files for free for 7days or 100 downloads and you can just mail the person the link to the site.

I use it all the time.
I'm a PC, and Windows 7 Backup saved my sanity when BitDefender imploded !!!
