      Change of PC question

      Hi

I currently have Sky Broadband and have just ordered a new PC.

Basically when I get my new PC will I just have to install the Sky broadband CD and connect it or do I have to call Sky for an IP number or anything?

I can't remember what the process was when I installed it on my current PC.

      Ta

No just install the same way with the Sky CD and do the same as before

you shouldn't have to ring Sky as you already a customer and your line is active to Sky.

      Re: Change of PC question

Just plug in your wireless thingy if the new PC needs it, fire up any installation software it requires, scan for your SSID (Sky-----), select it, put in your PSK (on the bottom of the router / on the card that came with the router, and you're away!

Of course, if you're using ethernet wired, then just plug it in and let windows do the rest!

      Based on:
      ADSL2+
33-34.5dB Line Attenuation (2224m of line to the exchange)
      8-9dB SNR Margin
And many helpful people at Sky's Tech Centre!

Don't bother with the CD, you don't need it, just plug it in and away you go.
