It`s just that when I worked everyone I spoke to personal or by phone felt as if they had met a new friend and I gave all preferential treatment when I have rang Sky I get thanks for an enjoyable phone call still have people now ring or meet for a chat to see how things are going even ISP`s still ring and it is all down to the next person you talk to is a friend you have not yet met

There is Some issues in the Belfast Centre I know that for a Fact.

Our Systems are crashing intermittently, don't know why.
Also there is some really random thing with the phone system randomly putting people on hold.

Or is it a case it's staggering how many people are coveniently labelled racists in this country as a cop-out ?
Were staff racially abused or do callers get annoyed and hang up out of frustration as they speak english as a 1st language and expect to be understood by the tech support of a British Company ?
If I had the option of requesting information from either someone with a Glaswegian accent I may find difficult to understand or someone with an Edinburgh accent and choose the latter, does that make me a racist ? Someone's gender/age/race,birth place, faith ..etc..etc is totally irrelevant. If they cannot understand the language&accents of the customers they support and vice versa, then what's the point ?

Aren't all calls recorded? and if so management should be made aware of those calls and the customer sent a strongly worded letter of warning, or does this already happen.

Not all calls are recorded, but I put notes on the individuals accounts at the time of it happening...any time it IS recorded, it gets raised...

Yep the old "thank god someone English" or "bl**dy hell someone I can understand" does wear a little thin sometimes. I often point out that some of the strange accents they have encountered are actually UK based agents and not "those foreigners" that customers keep maoning about.
