Have you tryed the test socket, if not post the stats from there and do another speed test

Where can I find the test socket? And are those stats ok or do they reveal slow speeds?

When you look at the master socket is there a slit running through the middle of the faceplate with screws below the slit, if so unscrew these screws and pull the plate of behind this you will find the test socket connect to that with a filter and repost the stats to see if there is a problem with your internal phone wiring.

You could aso try Dr TCP which will optimise your computer, only use this if you have windows XP

      Re: Are these OK?

There are no such thing as normal stats as they are all different, many factors dertermine the stats, line distance and quality being the main ones.

Getting the stats from the test socket rules out any problems with your internal wiring which is a common cause for problems.

As advised get your stats from the test socket and we should be able to get a good idea of the top speed you should be able to get.

      Re: Are these OK?

How's he going to get more speed with that noise margin? He is already at the minimum figure Sky set so there is no more speed in this current setup.

Stats from the test socket may give a better indication of any internal wiring issues holding him back but currently he is maxing out.

I wouldn't waste my time on the phone yet, you wont see any benefit.
