Are Mid packages ment to be capped?

Hey, i moved over to sky on my nans connection a month or so back i am on the mid package, are they suppose to b capped or anything i no max can't as i am on that at home still having troubles with that useless connection but this seems fine heres the stats!

Connection Speed 6140 kbps 412 kbps
Line Attenuation 26 db 14 db
Noise Margin 14 db 14 db

i think it maybe fine but i know this line supports 24meg and above so i should be able to get the full sync speed ?
      any idea
      Thanks in advance
      Adam

Re: Are Mid packages ment to be capped?

Your line is capped as the noise margin is high, mid is up to 8Mb so with those stats you should be getting 8. How is the router connected to the telephone line?

It is quite heavily capped. Phone Sky and ask them to lift it or trouble shooot for speed. You should get full sync easily.

Any other sockets on the line at all? If not and you have checked the filter and checked for a test socket then you should be escalated to CST pretty quickly if the agent knows what they are doing.

I have only the the one socket no extentions as only two people live in the house, so only use the master socket for better connection quality, i have tried the test socket before i posted still same stats no change..

Re: Are Mid packages ment to be capped?

Plug into the test socket, if possible with a new filter, call sky bb tech, go through the slow speed troubleshoot and you should in theory go through to cst, they will uncap it as soon as they see it.

Line Attenuation 40.0 db 25.5 db
Noise Margin 7.4 db 14.0 db
