Hi it is theKing that moved to O2.You know if you are paying 5.00 that means the exchange is due to be unbundled when Sky re-start to unbundle LLU but when, No one at sky have revealed yet. I have the same problem. But 25,000 domestic in the exchange there are small exchanges around Washington that have been unbundled and yet one of the biggest still waiting. Yes the Schools back shortly Colleges and Universities so you never know it might ease a little but as long as Sky push Connect and not do anything about it. the traffic Shaping is not going to go away
I doubt we will be unbundled - Sky only gave me that discount as they had emailed all Sky subscribers in our locality that they would be unbundling then had to apologise saying they had been sent out in error - that was three years ago.

Re: (Unofficial) FAQ - Sky Connect Users

Sometimes my speed drops dramatically, at the mo im on a go slow, Ill post agin with my average speed when it comes back. But this is what it is right now:-

Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
      Your DSL connection rate: 8128 kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP profile for your line is - 7150 kbps
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 947 kbps

When its normal i can download at about 6300 kbps

Sky aren't 'capping' as such...it's the lack of capacity combined with poor management of traffic - calling Sky will get you nowhere as tech can't do anything about it, although is known about and under investigation...

Re: (Unofficial) FAQ - Sky Connect Users

Is anyone good a writing letters? I have requested my MAC code from sky, and have set up an o2 account who are just waiting for it.
However i'm still in my 12month contract with sky, and dont know how to write a good letter asking them to waive the termination fee due to the exsessive throttling in the evenings, does any1 have a template one i could use?

      thanks

Hi here`s a few thing that should you BSkyB Corporate | Our locations
      Mac Code
If you ring them and the request has gone through for the MAC then any agent will be able to read it back to you as it shows on your portfolio
You could use the Quote the on the first page of this thread
SKY BROADBAND CONNECT TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT POLICY
as quite a few have done and where it says
There are no restrictions in place for applications such as browsing, email, streaming, instant messaging and VOIP during peak times. We do not put restrictions on our network
      There is.

      Hi First part
that is sky`s head office and there addresses and telephone numbers
      Second part
As it says if you need your Mac Code and request has gone through agent can give it to you over the phone
If you ring them and the request has gone through for the MAC then any agent will be able to read it back to you as it shows on your portfolio
      Third part
Use the Quote to get out of contract (it is on the first page of this thread)
SKY BROADBAND CONNECT TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT POLICY
      Forth part
Then at the bottom of the Quote Sky say (bold) (But They Do)
There are no restrictions in place for applications such as browsing, email, streaming, instant messaging and VOIP during peak times. We do not put restrictions on our network
hope you can understand it a bit more any advice just ask
