Hi I think you will find it is the Lan Mac Address which is on the bottom of the router it is also on the Maintenance page of the router The Lan Mac Address is the Address you use for the Bt Test Result
I was asking you if that was the speed tester site you were on about and if it was you do not have problems with firefox not for the last 2yrs anyway
Which speedtester Web site do you mean
you might have been talking about a different speed tester site there are so many
Oh and just on your comment did i suggest i was being precise??
what comment? if you are talking about me being precise that is the only way to post information

Re: (Unofficial) FAQ - Sky Connect Users

Well this one was taken at just after 8am this morning and is quite a staggering result - somewhat better than my 16 kbps connection the other night? Not bad for an up to 8mbps connection with Sky Connect!

Re: (Unofficial) FAQ - Sky Connect Users

Talk about throttling on Sky Connect - just look at this dudy from last night, fair takes your breath away. Outside of the 5pm to 12am zone things are fine but within that zone I'm really struggling of late and these results are totally unacceptable. I have written to Sky but as yet the response or lack of is almost deafening.

      Hi Steve,

I would normally copy and paste but when I did that test the speeds as you can see were that bad that I couldn't get onto a forum to do so. I really don't know what is going on with Sky as they aren't even answering my correspondence. I have just done a test this morning and that is 6726 kbps which is more than acceptable. It just seems to be the evenings and much worse of late due to I suspect to kids being on holiday.

It doesn't make any difference who I move to as our exchange only has BT equipment and is never ever likely to change, as at less than a 1000 connections it's just not commercially viable for anyone to LLU. Even if I move ISP it will still be a BT connection and as I'm getting Connect for a fiver a month I'd be foolish to leave.
      Best of luck with 02

P.S. 1 kbps will take some beating, I thought my 16 kbps would take some topping.

This one taken from BT speedtest at 11.43 am 23.8.09 Sky Connect

Hard to complain about that one! What a pity my evening speeds aren't similar

Hi it is theKing that moved to O2.You know if you are paying 5.00 that means the exchange is due to be unbundled when Sky re-start to unbundle LLU but when, No one at sky have revealed yet. I have the same problem. But 25,000 domestic in the exchange there are small exchanges around Washington that have been unbundled and yet one of the biggest still waiting. Yes the Schools back shortly Colleges and Universities so you never know it might ease a little but as long as Sky push Connect and not do anything about it. the traffic Shaping is not going to go away
