Sorry, but what do you mean it is not in your area? I am in the remote Highlands of Scotland and I have a great connection via IDNet.

Suggest you check once more. If you are requesting LLU then maybe you will not be in 'the area'. I am talking about a basic dsl connection NOT LLU. There are many many choices re download limits with IDNet.

Check that you are looking at the right package.

Re: (Unofficial) FAQ - Sky Connect Users

Right yuno ive type my home phone number in the idnet checker and the best option i got was

      Home Lite/Up to
      8Mbps download
      Up to
      448 Kbps* upload

5GB download limit a month/currently get unlimited with sky at moment
      Unlimited upload allowence
17.61 a month/slightly more expensive then i pay for sky connect

so theres only speed really that beats sky connect but that mite not be case once i get it

Sky are going to be moving all connect customer over onto a new platform starting tomorrow i believe, so if you get disconnected in the next few days, that will be you getting moved over.

Hopefully should sort out your speeds etc

      Connect isn't unlimited - it's 40GB a month...

BuckleZ - the speeds changes are for LLU only, no change yet on Connect...

I didnt read it fully, but it did mention moving connect customers over to a new IPConnect platform, and all users will get kicked offline tomorrow i think for a few moments to migrate over.

Re: (Unofficial) FAQ - Sky Connect Users

I rang sky at 8am thismorning asking for my mac keys anyway come 10am i get a call from sky it was a guy from tier 3 asking why i wanted my keys so i told him im not happy with my speeds during peak times they have been below half a mb which i think is shocking thats dial up speeds, anyway he said reason was 2 weeks ago i was slightly going over my 1gb a day download limit which in fairness i did but only afew times,so i told him its still not right how much they were throttling me.Anyway to cut a long story short they have took my cap off and reset my useage and told me my speeds should be ok again aslong as i dont acceed my daily use.So i said i'd monitor it for a week or 2 and if things improve i wont change isp so we shall see how it go's
