Hi the problem is if you over use connect and sky connect traffic shape because there is not enough bandwidth for the amount of connect Customers no wonder we are being throttled I think you are lucky I heard that connect Customers who over use their 40Gb a month as you say 1.3Gbs a week were being drop from the connect package having their service disconnected

I doubt the will kick anyone off, that is one of the problems, they don't want to upset the users no matter what they do as they really don't want them getting the hump and then removing the more profitable services like TV etc.

Hi yes I know it becomes a mockery of what Sky Traffic Management team are suppose to be doing when Sky TV is the priority and always will be

The real problem is not the traffic management, even if it was the best traffic shaping system in the world, it cannot create capacity and until Sky buy more it will not help.

      Hi,

The problem is that im not over using the 40GB cap a month because im restricted to a poor connection speed.

You state Sky Traffic Shape because there is not enough bandwidth for all customers, from a customer point of view that is not my problem as i am paying for a service i am not receieiving.

yes, you may think i am lucky that i have not been disconnected, but in my eyes, I would perfer them to disconnect it as it would make my case stronger.

SO --- All in all, theres not much use connect customers can do about this, do we all just get on with it and try to forget?

      Cheers

      Rick

No, you ring up Sky, tell them their service is not up to the job, get your MAC code and leave. They will not hold you to the contract as they know this is true.

Just had a phone call from SKY --

Member of staff advised that the service i am getting / got was below their standards.

I have been offered a credit to my account for the last 6 months, and advised that i can cancel my broadband within the 12 term, MAC code is on its way in a letter detailing all the info, I can keep the broadband live until i move to to an other provider and I have the contact details of a member of staff who is dealing with my account

So.. all in all.... A result for me!!

The next question is....... where can i get a decent broadband supplier from for 10.00 a month with a decent download limit and speed. so far....... on my exchange i cant find anything cheap!!!!

      Cheers

      Rick
