Question Help Sky help the environment - email???

I received an email just a minute ago...

      Dear Customer,

You may recall that some time ago we sent you a new
Sky Broadband router to replace the one which you were having
      difficulties with.

To help us achieve this we would appreciate it if you could return your unused Sky Broadband router so that we can make sure it gets recycled or disposed of appropriately. We offer free 'take-back' or postage, for all waste Sky electrical products.

Now I have not ever had a new router from Sky and all the problems I had were in the beginning when I signed up a couple of years ago.

Now they are making me wonder if I have been sent a new router that never arrived and I never knew about? Anybody else received this mailing?

Sky want to me return a faulty router that never happened!

I just got an email from Sky:

      Dear Customer,

You may recall that some time ago we sent you a new
Sky Broadband router to replace the one which you were having
      difficulties with.

Sky believes in taking action to reduce our impact on the environment. As part of this, we are increasing the recycling and environmentally friendly disposal of unused Sky Broadband routers and we are striving to promote best practice in relation to the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations. To help us achieve this we would appreciate it if you could return your unused Sky Broadband router so that we can make sure it gets recycled or disposed of appropriately. We offer free 'take-back' or postage, for all waste Sky electrical products.

All you need to do is click on the link below and we will arrange to send you pre-paid packaging in the next few days. Once you receive your package simply pop in your unused Sky Broadband router together with the original Power Supply Unit and mail it back to us.

I've not had to call support in over 18 months and am still on my original Sky Router which works just fine.

Anyone else got one of these?

if its the case you are saying ring them up
normally when they deliver something you normally have to sign for it
could just be a fake letter.

I've just received that email. I had one replaced over a year ago, Not sure if I still
      Have the old one though!

I would just ignore it and if they really want something back from me then they can write to me and not just send a email which could be a fake.

Yeah, am not really worried about owing them anything, more like annoyed if should have got an unexpected new router and not know about it
