      Sky bb and telnet

      Hi
Bit of an odd one, I recently moved to sky from eclipse, after some issues with wireless coverage I managed to revert to my own DG834N.

After several months of trouble free use, I have found a small issue.

I am part of a small MUD (multi user dungeon) which i usually telnet to on deepertrouble.demon.net 4242 but since the move to sky cannot connect.

I have checked the mud is still up and running but cannot connect.

      Any ideas?

      Tim

Can't help too much except to say it works from here. Sky Mid, DG834GT running V1.03.87. Logged in as guest:

Apr 01 2009: To put things briefly: Deepertrouble has been sold to a small
indian business who will take over the running of the DT. They
wil be adding customer support and a stable staff. They have been
observing Deeper for some time, and while they liked what they
saw they also found some stuff they didn't approve of as much.
Therefore most of the current staff here will be deleted and
replaced by native coders of the company. In its entirety the
change will probably take a week or two. To finance it they plan
to add advertising and we will most likely see a large influx of
indian players as well. In two weeks the game will be moved to an
indian server and a new domain, stand by for the new telnet
      address. -- Z

      Hi GRM,
Thanks for the reply, been pondering it and just realised that the post you have pasted must have been an april fools joke! The good thing is this means that its my problem not sky, as if you can connect via telnet on your broadband then it must be my router or computer. Will have to experiment some more.
      Thanks again
      Tim
