      Weird thing happened!!

I have been surfing no probs and everything sorted after I ditched the cr@p sky router and opted for home plugs.

I came home last night and all the lights were on the home plugs and the lights were on the router.

Went upstairs, turned my internet on, and it would not connect, kept saying timed out, tried everything.

I typed in the router 192.168.0.1 and the stats came up.

What is going on? as once again back downstairs to turn everything off for 30 secs and re start.

Any of you guys got problems like this?

      Thanks

don't see why you ditched the Sky router if you're now using homeplugs - the Sky router works fine as a router, it's just the wireless that's crap!!

having said that, you'll always be bale to connect to the router as that's the network at your house...best bet is boot into safe mode with networking (google it if need be) and if you can browse then you have a software issue...

The router is still there, never said I ditched the router?

I need the router for the home plugs.

One is to my PS3 and the other to the home plug

      Yes you did!!!

When you log into the router do you have an IP address? I assume you have if the lights on the router are all green...

      Re: Weird thing happened!!

Sorry meant to say not using router as wireless.. LOL my bad.

Yes all the lights were on, just internet was not coming up, on the router settings would come up.

Maybe it was a firewall thing, or maybe as my security came up it stopped the internet.

I put nod32 back on, maybe will try uninstall and re-install nod

Did you have an IP against the ADSL port when you looked in the router settings?

I did not look at that, I am not used to this wireless thing.

Its only since I got a PS3 that I have started using.

Will check if it happens again.

If it does or doesnt what would that mean ?

      Thanks

      Re: Weird thing happened!!

The IP has nothing to do with the wireless, it just shows you are connected to Sky. It will be shown on the router status page. If you don't have one or it is 0.0.0.0 then you have no connection to the internet. If this is the case, click the Sky Test in the router and if it fails to connect make a note of the error number.
