Do you happen to have a record of your stats from 3-4 weeks ago? The reason I ask is that as now, you line is getting as much as it can take. The norm for your attenuation is 6-7 Mb, which you are getting.
speedtest.net is not dependable, there is a very good chance that the speed it showed then was much inflated. Have a look at some of the speeds in this thread if you don't believe me -

i use a news server and was getting a stable 7.1meg download speed for the first few weeks i got connected now it struggles to reach 5.1-5.3 meg just under a 2meg drop for no reason which i think is strange

i am not wireless with the router also

      tryed different microfilter

      and a few resets also

anything else i could do ????

Re: loss in speed and no connections to master plate

If that is the case then something has happened to increase your attenuation. To get a 7Mb download you would have to be syncing at over 8Mb, which is very unlikely with your attenuation. Although there should be little difference, can you post your stats from the Test socket, you may be asked to, so may as well get it over now.
What did they tell you your estimated speed would be when you joined?

What like is your voice line? Do you here any noise on it when you are phoning? Try a quiet line test, plug a corded phone into your socket and dial 17070 option 2. The line should be quiet with no snaps crackles or pops. This would normally be done from the Test socket but as you have no extensions, it should not matter.

Re: loss in speed and no connections to master plate

Your are getting as much as your line can handle I'm afraid. There may be a very light cap on your speed, but not enough to make much difference, it has probably been put on to stabilize your line.

There is a chance that you had a sync previously of about 8Mb, but this would be at a cost of stability on your line. Your noise margin would have been very low and probably dropped out now and again. You are now just above the default noise margin so your line should be nice and stable.
