Unless you are prepared to keep it plugged into your Test socket, there is not much point phoning Sky.

Filtered faceplate arrived today and also took the liberty of getting some decent quality RJ11 all of which i'll fit this evening so fingers crossed this will help things although im guessing if im capped it will take a phone call or a few days for things to show - thanks for the advice so far ppl

those stats are very good for your attenuation, an the speed test is not bad either.

Re: Upstream higher than Downstream and poor speed

I must say the replacement RJ11 cable and the Faceplate seem to do the trick, not sure what Sky did the other night but it took me from 768kpbs to around 2.2Mb (noticed it dropped to 1.6 this evening before fitting faceplate)

Not sure how to approach the attentuation though

Re: Upstream higher than Downstream and poor speed

About the only thing you can do about attenuation is dig up your house and move it nearer to the exchange. Then call BT and ask them to shorten your phone line. Alternately, move to a house closer to the exchange.
