      Page loading problems with wireless

      wireless connects but regularly does not manage to load pages

      Fault details:

      2 computers, sky mid package:

      1x desktop connected to router permantly by cable - connected and loads pages perfectly 24hours a day regardless of website content or peak/off peak usage.

      1x laptop connected by wireless - actual connection is not a problem but the webpages fail to load on at least 50% of the occasions tried, some days they load quickly some days not at all.

      If i connect the laptop to router by cable it works perfectly 24hours aday.

      Any suggestions on what causes this or how to improve it as I am paying for wireless and most of the time it does not do its job.

      Change the channel on the router?

      open IE, clear the address bar, type in 192.168.0.1 and press enter
      user name = admin
      password = sky
      If you are on the white router click on the "wireless settings" link on left side of page, should see Channel X towards top of page.
      Click on the number to open the drop down menu.
      Click on new number.

      Before doing this though can you confirm what router you are using, what channel is it on (should be on your keep me handy card) and is there anything else near the router (cordless phones etc)?
