      Is Port 3389 blocked?

Hi, I hope someone can help me with this problem. I have recently moved to SBB and I'm trying to get port 3389 open on my Black netgear router that was provided.

I have set up port forwarding on 5900 for another application, its working fine and CanYouSeeMe.org shows it as open.

I added port forwarding for 3389 in and out and it doesn't seem to work. CanYouSeeMe.org shows "Connection Refused".

I called sky support to ask if this port is blocked and was told that they didn't know!

If its blocked then I'll move on and won't waste any more time but if anyone knows how to get this working I would be very grateful.
      Many thanks
      Steve

It will show as blocked unless the application that runs on that port is actually running.

Edit: Tested with uTorrent - image attached - works fine

Normally you would only need the in rule adding not the outgoing one - I have only the incoming rule added.

      Thanks for the help.
I didn't realise what the connection refused message meant and was fixating on the port forwarding. It's working ok now.

      Many thanks
