      what broadband speeds on max would you expect with these stats?

      despite the router saying im getting 11.1mbs i only ever get around 9mbs according to speedtest.net and thats directly off ethernet cable into pc and plugged into master socket. When i used to use the netgear router provided by sky i never got above 7mbs so i configured and my old bulldog thompson router and for the last 2 years i have around 9mbs. however should i be able to get more on these stats?

      well, you're getting 11Mbps so about 10Mbps on speed tests...

      no its 9mbs on speed tests i just wondered if i could get more or if my speed is right for my stats

      I'd say it is, perhaps another meg if you're not in the test socket but with a 34 attenuation I wouldn't expect a great deal more...

      If you are not running Vista, have you tried optimising your connection using DrTCP or TCPOptimiser, links below. I have to agree with IANTE, you will not get much more, 85-90% of the sync speed, due to overheads.
