That being said, your speed is way too low. Can you open a Command Prompt, type netstat /b and copy and paste the result here. If you are using Vista you will have to 'Run as Administrator'.

@Isitme your right m8 it has synced this morning at 4.7,ill try the new router see if that makes a difference which i doubt, cannot have it dropping under 500k's at night you cannot even browse at that so thenill get them to escalate it with BT,to try diferent pairs whatever that means

Connection Speed 4704 kbps 416 kbps
Line Attenuation 50 db 30 db
Noise Margin 8 db 23 db

There is a clue in there, try downloading and running WinSockFix it looks like you have a corruption.

To copy and paste from a Command Prompt, right click the top bar of the Command window, scroll down to 'Edit', select 'Select All'. The page will highlight, right click the bar again scroll down to 'Edit' and select 'Copy'. Open a document, right click and select 'Paste'.

The pairs basically, are the plugs into the machine in the exchange which connects you to the main network.

      Re: stats check

Sorry, I should have asked you what OS you are running. If it is Vista try this -

      1. Click on Start button.
      2. Type Cmd in the Start Search text box.
      3. Right click and choose 'Run as Administrator' . Allow elevation request.
      4. Type netsh winsock reset in the Command Prompt and then press the Enter key.
      5. Restart the computer.

If you are running XP can you try another Command Prompt command to see if it works? Typing ipconfig /all would do. If it does, try the netstat command again.
