Taking the plunge...
I have deceided that tomorrow, i am gonna sign up for SkyBB MAX. Main reason is that i am currently paying 28quid a month on Orange for 8MB of which i get hardly any sort of speed.
What should i know before i decide to do it? I have checked my exchange, it is Addiscombe and i think it looks fine. I live about a 10 second run from the exchange.
Also, what is the normal waiting time from date you sign up to the activation date on your bt line? because i want to cancel Orange but not leave myself with no broadband for a month. Any replies would be greatly appreciated.

Hiya Spal
Just signed up to SKY BB myself so any responses will be of interest.
Out of curiosity, what speeds have you been getting with Orange, Wanadoo, Freeserve (whatever the call themselves now)??
Does your exchange say that Easynet has been unbundled?? If so you should be able to get SKY.
Also have you registered your interest in SKY BB & received an e-mail saying that the service is now available to you, this same e-mail should have a code for you to quote when you order?
*MOD*
Just checked & your exchange was enabled for Easynet on 1-7-06 so you should be OKLast edited by Psycho; 25-09-06 at 09:25 PM.

Im not too sure what all the exchange information means, here is the link, maybe someone could decode it for me. http://www.samknows.com/broadband/ex...hp?ecode=LSADD

Welcome to the site spal
If you haven't received an email with a BAND number in it you will not be able to register thoght you could try calling SkyBB sales and checking.
Looking at your exchange you should be ok for the Max packageRay
Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

I am not sure I have seen a couple of post where people have called sales and they say they have managed to sign-up so I guess you could try.

Ordered 21st Aug went live 12th Sept but would have been the 7th if BT hadn't messed up my phone and Adsl in the exchange
