      Use alternate router with Sky?

      Hi, me again!

I've been trying to setup up a wifi radio through my Sky router (black Netgear) to no avail. I've come to the conclusion that the firmware that Sky has installed in these routers sucks and that is giving me the problem with my radio connecting to my router.
Here's my other post on this site and another on Recivas site...

Need help with Sky router & Revo Mondo Wifi Radio

As you can see it's been a bit of an ongoing situation and I was just going to give up and go to another provider. Before I pack my bags I have one question...
could I just go out and buy another router and use that instead of Skys useless one? I was thinking of a Netgear with a little more range but doesn't Skys T+C's say I have to use theirs?
My T+C's say that the thing should work so they either let me use my own router or I'm off! I think it's a little imposing when a company tells you what hardware you must use in your own home!

Anyway any advice would be fantastic.
      Thanks guys

No one here is going to tell you to go ahead and use your own router. If you read through the forum, the Technical help in particular you will find that many do, it is really up to you.

The rights and wrongs of Sky only allowing you to use the equipment supplied has been done to death in the forum.
