    Sky Max - slow speeds

    This is a discussion on Sky Max - slow speeds within the Sky Broadband help forums, part of the Sky Broadband help and support category; I know you have done it before, but it may pay to run DrTCP again, just in case your settings ...

      I know you have done it before, but it may pay to run DrTCP again, just in case your settings have changed some how.

      One other thing, are you running Sky or BBC players? These will gobble up bandwidth and slow down a connection.

      Open a Command Prompt and run netstats /b this will show you what you have running. Obviously you will have to do this on all pCs you have connected to the router.

      Latest test, wireless, on TBB;
      12695.95 Kbps ( 12.4 Mbps )
      Speed Up 641.90 Kbps ( 0.6 Mbps )

      Running Vista.

      Don't use either

      Only this computer switched on at the moment. Netstat was as expected.

      This is what happens, poor speeds through the day then a period of stability, then back to poor speeds.
