      Re: Sagem Username and Password

If you enter your LAN MAC address and the default wireless key you should be getting the correct details. If you are not, you are not entering the correct information. Remember the wireless key must be entered in Caps. Copying and pasting these from the routers settings pages is the most accurate way, provided you have not changed the wireless key.

why you getting in a strop at Sky? they don't support 3rd party routers and won't give you the log ins as its breaking T&C's of service...they can cut you off (technically but not done so yet)...

      Re: Sagem Username and Password

I have changed my WPA to a WEP, however I enter the WPA on the modem case and the (lan MAC code) 00:23:64:66:e6:72. But it provides me with a password that contains a forward slash, which is an invalid charater.

Need a step by step guide I think. Any help would be great !!!

A strop? you clearly have never phoned them for support. They have a call centre full of people who simply read instructions from a screen. (Best one ever is switch it off and back on again).

In this case they have supplied me with really poor hardware which has little to no wireless signal strenght, it also drops out whenever it feels like it they refuse to send out a new modem so I bought my own.

I am sure loads of people are very happy with sky, as a TV provider I love sky however skybb service has been found wanting.

      Re: Sagem Username and Password

You are entering the Network key and not the SSID and you are entering it in the correct place for the type of router you have?

      Re: Sagem Username and Password

I have just tried it again for my router and it gives the same result as it did months ago. If you are entering everything correctly, copying and pasting as I suggested, then I am afraid I do not know why you are getting an incorrect return.
