Will i bennifit if i upgrade

      Hi

I have just moved house and had my new broadband activated today, i used to be on the mid package at my old address. Now due to the distance i thought i was not going to get very good speeds, however i have looked at my stats from my router and i think i might be able to get a bit more speed if i went on the mid package. My stats are as below what kind o speed do you think i might get?

      System Up Time: 5:30:39

Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time
      WAN PPPoA 15494 18936 0 0 0 1:46:07
      LAN 6673 331 0 0 0 5:30:39
      WLAN 83460 69145 0 0 0 5:30:11
      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 2048 kbps 416 kbps
Line Attenuation 59.0 db 31.5 db
Noise Margin 13.3 db 14.0 db

      cheers

you'd get about 3-4Mbps so if you want a better usage limit then why not!!

Yeah you would be looking at about 3.5Mbps at most unless if you can post the distance from the exchange there could be something in the house restricting your attenuation to be to high i am 1.2KM from the exchange but my attenuation was 56 turns out an engineer put in a filter that was incompatiable with broadband now its at 25 and i have 16 Mbps

That is if Sky do not switch you to ADSL2+ and completely mess up your connection.
