      New line help

      Hi folks

I have just had a new line installed in my property which is completely seperate to my existing number (i.e new number etc), in an ideal world i would like to move my current broadband subscription from my existing line and number to my newly installed line and number, any advice on the best way to go about this or if it is indeed possible.

      Thanks in advance.

      Re: New line help

Phone Sky and let them know you would like to change the number your BB is registered to.

They should be able to renumber it.
If not they may need to cease the current order and reprovide it to the new line.

      Re: New line help

Are you sure it is going to be worth the hassle? Although it is a 'new' line the only new part will be the drop from the pole or connection to the cabinet. It will be following the same route back to the exchange as your old line.

In a perfect world it would just be a case of transferring from one line to the other, but as we know, Sky are far from perfect. The new line would have to be configured for ADSL and the way Sky seem to work, this would not be done until the old line is ceased. A possible downtime of about 10 days. You may also be asked to pay for the new line being activated.
