      From Registration to Order Code?

Hallo everyone! I am new on these forums. I found out about www.skyuser.co.uk from the Digital Spy -> Sky Forums.

I am curious about how long do I have to wait to receive my Order Code so that I can actually order SkyBroadband?

I have first registered my interest for Sky Broadband on 3 Sept. I received the "thanks for registering" e-mail. At this point I was not a Sky subscriber yet.

On 12 Sept I received an e-mail "Sky Broadband coming soon" which gave a summary of the different services and that Sky Broadband is only for Sky TV customers, and I need to join Sky TV.

I knew this beforehand but I had to move into my new home first. I just wanted to register my interest in Sky broadband to hopefully get it up and running as quick as possible.

On 16 Sept I moved into my new home and my Sky was installed on 17 Sept. I activated my viewing card on 18 Sept.

I registered my interest for Sky Broadband again last Tuesday 19 Sept. But this time I could supply my Sky account number as a Sky TV customer and subscriber. During this registration it showed that my home address and phone number puts me in the "Sky network area" and it asked me to choose tha package I want - Base, Mid or Max. I chose Max.

As the Crow flies I'm about 1.8km from my exchange according to http://www.dslzoneuk.net/checker.php? Any idea what sort of speed I can expect? Do I have a good chance of achieving more than 8Mbps? If not, I might just as well go for the "Mid" package.

How long do I have to wait to receive my Order Code?

How long did you wait for your Order Code?

      Thanks.

Have a look at the sticky thread above: "Sticky: Activated now then please post info here".

Lots of us have posted how long each stage took.

      Welcome to the site Jakkalas

Yes thats the best advice do as grumsta suggested

As for the possible speeds nobody could tell you as every line is different so its just a case of waiting to see.

Good luck when you can get it and with your new home.

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.
