Exclamation If I Buy A Netgear (Non Sky) Router would it work?

if i were to buy the netgear rangemax wireless n router would work wth my sky brodband?

my router just now works fine but the wireless isnt very good i have a ps3 in the next room (were the router is) it only gets a 50% signal i dont think i have thick walls my house was bulid in 2007

i really appericate everyones help

It would work if you could get all your details out of the router you have currently. I take it you have tried changing channels on the router and made sure nothing is near it that can impact the signal levels?

did you just plug it in and that was it connected i bought a belkin at a car boot sale and that didnt work

No he got his details out of his Sky router. Sky routers are sent out with user name details etc coded into them.

Dont waste your money on another router, buy a couple of homeplugs instead, they will improve you gaming no end.

£45 for a pair of solwise 85mb Turbo on e-bay.

its not just my ps3 i dont get a good speed on my usb adapters right now on the computer downstairs which is right next to the ps3 only gets 11.0 mps will the router make much of a difference also should i buy home plugs for my computers as well as one laptop and do they homeplugs use lot of power?
