    Box stuck in stand by

    This is a discussion on Box stuck in stand by within the Sky Broadband help forums, part of the Sky Broadband help and support category; I have done a short search on this , but want to be sure................. my box is stuck on standby ...

      Box stuck in stand by

      I have done a short search on this , but want to be sure.................


      my box is stuck on standby (red button) Is there a way to reset or reboot

      A bit more info would help, what type of receiver, Sky, Sky+ or SkyHD, make and model.

      First thing to try is to unplug it from the wall for a minute and then try again. If that doesn't work, unplug it again rut this time when you turn it on hold down the backup button until you get a message on screen.

      If still no joy then you may be suffering from a PSU fault, Thompson boxes seem prone to this and the only option is to replace either the part of get Sky to call at 65.

      If it is a Sky digibox, you might get a better response posting in the TV section of the forum. If it is a Sky+ box the Trouble-shooting section of the handbook tells you how to proceed, page 66 I think.
