    This is a discussion on e-mail within the Sky Broadband help forums, part of the Sky Broadband help and support category; im changing from virgin to sky how do i keep the same e-mail address....

      Question e-mail

      im changing from virgin to sky how do i keep the same e-mail address.

      you can't...

      IF virgin allow you to access their mail servers you can use it but on Sky you'll get what you're given...although you can then create another account with a username you prefer (assuming it's not taken)...

      You can't, VM will kill off your email account at some point, you may get lucky and still retain POP access to it for a while but at some point it will go. Sometimes they allowed people to take on their dial up/ PAYG internet system to keep the email address alive but I don't know if they are still doing that these days.
