If you look at # 37 i am not in the habit of Switching on and off, look at my uptime System Up Time: 998:35:48.

      I rebooted as suggested by
Isitme as we was trying to ascertain why my Noise Margin had risen to 8.2 db 16.0 db to see if i could get more speed out of my line.

Please read the posts carefully as i my line was not messed up by DLM.

Sorry PSU, but no matter what BT say, there is a fault on your line. You could try phoning Sky and ask them to raise your cap a bit. They may insist that your line will not be stable, but ask them nicely if they will try it anyway. They may even be able to see there is a problem with your line or at the exchange.

After my postings, i remembered approx 3/4years ago there was a new Gym built on the School field, nearby ( about 200 yards out of my back way ) .Our Phone line was accidently cut twice by the Builders of the Gym.
Maybe ? that is where the Problem is.

Quite likely! If the repairs were not done properly, water could seep in and cause all sorts of problems. Your line is definitely not delivering what it should.

You should be able to get a bit higher sync speeds but your line seems to be stable there.
Your Noise margin will fluctuate. Your sync rate is going up and down there about 2-3kbps but thats because your on adsl2+.

It seems fine. You could call sky and see if they can increase your line rate a bit but to be honest I personally think it seems fine.

Re: BT engineer coming to look at my line problem

If (form some reason) the amount of available tones/bins has been restricted on your line at the DSLAM then that would account for your good attenuation but poor speed/margins.
It's not necessarily a line fault.

      ^^^^^^^^^^^^
So how does he get it fixed? It is a bit worrying if Sky LLU is being oversubscribed and restricted the same as Connect.
