That's more like it, as long as your noise margin holds up. Hopefully the engineer that comes will check the line for broadband and not just for the voice side.

I think the fact that your router held its connection right down to 3.6dbs shows that it is OK and that it is the line which is causing the problem.

He is getting broadband checked and not just the voice side.

We had ( Andy ) a good conversation he did try to get a bit more but, errors started.
Hopefully i don't get any disconnections, and after the Engineer has fixed the problem, i might get a bit more speed.

To Be Honest i Would be Happy with the

Connection Speed 12090 kbps 764 kbps
      Which i have now

The noise margin seems very low, not sure you will stick with that speed

But the engineer did not do anything, apart from test the line and connected a Bt Voyager router to check the router.
He also done a REIN test in my house,no problems there.
Wondering what is causing the noise margin to drop so much, but still stay connected ?

Re: BT engineer coming to look at my line problem

ADSL always has a better NM in the mornings, it tends to drop during the evening this has always been the case.

As long as the router can hold connection you should be fine, if not you may have to get Sky to drop a meg or two and cap it.

Re: BT engineer coming to look at my line problem

If you reboot when the line is noisy, ie, when your noise margin is low, you should resync at a lower speed with the default margin of around 7dbs. This will reduce your sync speed but leave the line more stable. I would not ask Sky to cap you at the moment, they are likely to go over the top and knock a couple of Mbs off, 'just to be on the safe side'.
