I ran the speedtest came up with:

      Download Speed (Kbps)1984 Kbps
      Upload Speed (Kbps) 364 Kbps

About 1 am yesterday i tried downloading a ps3 demo and it was MUCH MUCH faster. Forgot to test the speed but willdo this time.
What do you reckon send an email via their online website or give sky a phone?

just tested on speedtest.net and its much better...hrmm weird

did the speedtester right after got this:

      Download Speed (Kbps 3112 Kbps
      Upload Speed (Kbps) 362 Kbps

your router is syncing in at Upstream rate = 448 Kbps, Downstream rate = 8128 Kbps - make sure everytime you run your speedtest that you only have one device connected to the internet and that your not running any programs that require an internet connection.

tested at 2am. Hrmm... guess its not a case of things being slow only at peak times then.

also tested the speedtester here got this
      Download Speed (Kbps) 6328 Kbps
      Upload Speed (Kbps) 366 Kbps

worth noting that i use wireless internet. and occasionally signal quality varies between good - excellent.

did speedtester again and got 936 Kbps download though so hrmm... but i think signal quality was not consistently 100%

Re: Slow download speeds during peak times

even if the wireless signal is excellent all the time yoy can still expect some loss of speed - maybe try connecting via ethernet cable and running the test again.
