      Well thats good new Keeny

You are actually paying for an up to 16MB connection so in theory you can get any speed

If you would care to post your router stats then we will get an idea

If you are not sure how to do this login clicking on this link

      http://192.168.0.1 A little box will pop-up
      the default username/password is admin/sky
then you will be on the Router Status page look at the bottom and you will see a button Show Statistics click on that and a pop-up window will give you all the info you need.

Sorry they are not readable - even saving the image and magnifying does not work

Just get the screen up as you have already done, and using your mouse just highlight all the information on the small popup window - do a copy then a paste into this forum reply

Your stats are almost identical to mine, I'd be very surprised if you could get much faster than that with an attneuation of 49DB. THe most I've had is 4500ish with those kind of figures.

Your router stats indicate you will get real live downloads speeds of about 3.3 MB

Also your noise margin is quite low for this time of day so you may need to do a reboot at about 9pm to get a more stable connection, this will drop your speed a little more

Note: just becuase you ordered 16MB doesn't mean your line is capable of getting that speed - you will get the highest speed possible up to that value and in your case my guess is about 3MB

You could also try some of the advice about where to connect your router and fitting faceplates etc this may increase your speed considerably

      Hi Keeny

I have to agree your stats are not good and the NM is far to low

Test the router in the master socket and see if that improves the stats id it does the the next question is do you have filters on all your phone points in use?

If so the remove anything thats plugged in to the phone points and see if it changes anything as you could have a duff filter.
