First off BT dont have DLM they use rambo and this is a ongoing thing how ever it tests your line for the first 10 days and then sets the max & min line rate .

I'm thinking it's something that starts with quite and ends in true with txt spk characters at the end to try to emulate a smiley.

Well, it's certainly what I was told by several sources in BT!
I was on Option 3 for several years and had personnal experience of the 3 day DLM more than once.

Re: Sorry I ever moved to SKY

The initial training period for ADSLMax is now down to 7 days. It is a form DLM which means Dynamic Line Management, a generic or collective term for any system that automatically configures an ADSL for best performance. Different systems are used by BT and LLU providers.

The system used by Sky would be better referred to as 'Expresse Dynamic Spectrum Management' or EDSM for short.
Now any Sky agents who want to argue should read this first -
