      That's true, it would also have to show a rise in the Sync speed.

      Wiring in new buildings like this can be a bit of a problem. There may not be a NTE-5 master, it may be that the line has been connected to a normal socket which is a master. So check all your sockets and check each room for sockets. If the line is an underground one, then check close to where it enters your home.
      When you find the master socket, remove any wires connected to "3" this is the ring line and will not help with noise suppression.
      You may find a BT plate with a split across the centre but no socket. If you do that is the master and the test socket is underneath the lower half.
