      broadband dropping

      Hi Guys,
Hope you can help me as ive been having troubles with my broadband dropping and a bit of searching led me to this site.
Anyway, i am on sky mid broadband and when my wife plays online gaming, normally in the evening we lose broadband, sometimes it comes back very quickly other times we reboot the sagem router. Sometimes we lose it when the phone rings, but have tried ringing home from my mobile and not been able to reproduce fault, sometimes we lose it at random.
I have delved into the router and found the following info but dont what it means and whether the figures are good or bad
      speed 7904 384
      line 30db 16.5db
      noise 11db 13db
i did note that in the mornings the noise drops down to 7.5db from 11db and we generally suffer with problems in the evening. We run 2 pc's wired and 1 laptop wireless.
I hope someone can give me some idea as my wife it getting annoyed with it/me!
      Thanks in advance,
      Graham

How many sockets on your line, how many in use and have you checked your filters? Do you know if you have a test socket available to check against?

      HI Paul,
im plugged into the master socket with a brand new filter and have tried the test socket underneath with the same test results. We only have one socket in the house with just a phone and broadband router plugged in thru the filter without any extension leads. Any other ideas?
      Graham.

      Re: broadband dropping

comparrison stats, we need a set of stats from the main socket and another set from the test socket. That will help us see if there is something causing it, if the stats are the same then you may need to cal sky tier 1 support to go through troubleshooting so a ticket can be opened to the CST group.
