      My experience

It seems lots of people are having different experiences when it comes to SkyBB so I thought I'd register and post mine....

Ordered on the 14th of Sep, already had mac code for them.

Was told I'd be up and running around the 21st of Sep.

Got my letter with username / password on the 21st (assume this is for the www.skybroadband.com website??) it doesn't work yet, just keeps taking me back to the login page.

Noticed this morning that I couldn't access the net, my netgear router was now showing download of 6.7mbs instead of 2.2mbs and upload has gone up from 224kbs to 440kbs.

Wasn't sure at this stage if it was Sky that had switched me over or if Plus.net had finally gotten around to moving me to max. When I checked the status, it was showing CHAP error so I assumed Sky.

Got into work and in my webmail, have got a mail from Plus.net saying I had now been switched over to new ISP.

So am I right in thinking that now all I need is for the Sky router to turn up? Have been on the 0800 number now for 27 mins and counting.

I have seen a couple of hints on here as to how to use non Sky router for connection but am unable to find anything concrete, has anyone got a link?

      Welcome to the site s00tie

From what you have posted I would like to think thats all you need now.

So calling them seems like a good idea to be sure

Good luck and hope it all goes as it should.

      Well....

Got through on the 0800 number in 1min 23 which I think has to be some kind of record

They haven't dispatched the router yet and are going to get that sorted today so hopefully within 3 working days I'll be up and running (I stress hopefully heh)

I asked if it would be possible to use my own router until then and they said it should be and to speak to technilcal support which I did. Technical support had no clue how to retrieve the details I need for my own router so I guess I'm just going to have to wait

If it is sorted this week, I think I'll be happy
