      Thanks gents, I have miraculously been switched to ADSL2+. Syncing at 9.5Meg, would have expected more even though attenuation hes increased to 28.5. Noise margin is 6.9 so that should be right, looks like its a case of experimenting at this end now. Thanks again to you all for your help, another satisfied Skyuser member.

      Plug into your Test socket and see what the stats are like from there. As IANTE says, you are not capped so the low speed is down to the line.

      If you have an older box, without a Test socket, take off the faceplate and remove the wire from Terminal 3. This is the 'ring' wire and serves no useful purpose but can cause interference on the line. Remove everything you have connected to the phone line extensions and using a filter, plug the router into the Master socket. See what the stats are like from there.
