      Internet radio corruption

      Hi,

LTRFTW here. I've just got Sky Broadband Mid and generally I'm pretty happy. However, I have one problem.

I work from home a lot and like listening to internet radio (mainly Radio 2) while I toil. Problem is, intermittently (once every minute or two) it stutters and even stops occasionally - it's like listening to Norman Collier (remember him?) at times, which sort of kills the enjoyment.

According to speed testers my download speed is about double the average and just slightly higher than average on uploads, plus the PC is linked to the Netgear router via an etherlink cable so you'd think things would be fine - they were with my 2Mb line from Virgin Media, my previous ISP!!

Anyone else have this problem and suggestions on how to stop it (if possible)?

      Thanks in advance,
      Dave

      Okay, panic (may be) over.

Had the bright idea - which I should've had before posting on here - of listening to some BBC channels other than Radio 2 and they seem to work fine... so it sounds like it might be a problem at their end. Is this likely/possible?

Thanks for reading, and apols if I wasted anyone's time.

It could well be, we have an internet radio, and had a similar problem on 5 Live. I reset the link, and it worked fine.

Why not buy yourself a radio, thro I suppose you may have a reception problem, which is why you use internet.
