Can the sky sagem routers be bridged together?

My problem is this: I have my router plugged into my phone line (obviously) but my phone line is the opposite end of my house to the study where I use my PC.
At first I had a range expander which used to work ok, but for some reason it has stopped working as well and I keep getting "limited or no connectivity" but if I "repair" enough it works.
I also have a phone line in the study (a third time extension) but don't want to put the original router on it as I need a decent line for that connection.
Can I buy a second router and attach that to the phone line upstairs? Then bridge the two together?
Or do you have any other sensible suggestions? I can't really afford too much, I was going to buy a cheap sagem f@st router and bridge the two together (with a little help from you hopefully).
      Any help is appreciated.
      Thank you!

Buy a pair of homeplugs and they will use your mains wiring as a network. That way you just plug them into a mains socket nearby and hook them up.

No wireless or wires needed (other than the short ones connecting the homeplugs to the PC etc.)

You can't have 2 routers connected to the phone line, they will not work. You can connect them by ethernet cable if you can find a route for it. Failing that, a Homeplug network as already suggested is your best bet.

Just bought a pair of Solwise 85Mb Turbo homeplugs for a none techy friend, he picked them up at 7pm and rang to say they all worked as soon as connected at 7.15.

47 from e-bay with postage, took 2 days to get here.

2 X NEW SOLWISE PL-85PE HOMEPLUG NETWORK ADAPTERS on eBay, also, Other Networking, Networking, Computing (end time 13-Feb-09 14:30:35 GMT)
