hi sorry i have not been on for a few days could not get on comp. Well i have now updated to service pack 2 but still will not connect i have a yellow triangle and it says limited or no connectivity you might not be able to access the internet or some network resources. This problem occurred because the network did not assign a network address to the computer.I have clicked the repair button but that had no joy it just said could not finish repairing the problem because the following action cannot be completed renewing your ip address for assistance contact the person who manages your network.

If you are able to connect without security and cannot with it on it is almost certain that you are using the wrong key. Double check that the WEP key is correct by copying and pasting it to the wireless manager. In fact, as you have upgraded to Sp2 you should now be able to use WPA security. Select that in the security options and copy and paste the 8 letter key to the wireless manager.

You could also try giving the adapter a manual address. To do this go to Control Panel>Open NetworkConnections>Right click the wireless adapter, select Properties, then highlight Internet Protocol. Click the Properties button then select the button for 'Use this IP address'. Fill in the following-
      IP Address 192.168.0.10
      Subnet 255.255.255.0
      Gateway 192.168.0.1

You can fill in the server part as follows
      90.207.238.97
      90.207.238.99

      These are the Sky servers.

      See if you can connect.
