I'm on the Alsager exchange, and it is working, seemingly better than it ever has before. The thinkbroadband speed tester reports 13,449 KBS.

However, my migration to Be has started.
whats your stats adrian ill tell you what you would roughly get on BE?

      when did you order BE?

You'll no doubt have a cooling off period if you want to stick with Sky. I still think overall it represents very good value for money as ISP's go

      Thanks Sam.

      Current router stats:
      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 16379 kbps 765 kbps
Line Attenuation 5.0 db 3.8 db
Noise Margin 9.7 db 12.5 db

      Be estimate 18 mbps.

Now that I'm committed to going, Be's faster upstream speed, with an option of increasing it to 2.5 mbps (with a reduction in download speed) is attractive, as is the fixed IP address.

At about midday. Already raised an on-line ticket about delivery address and had it processed.

My thanks to those who persevered with Sky in getting them to look at the problem, and to the insiders who provided some information as to what was going on.

Now I'd better get away to work!

Re: Sky speed problems [Part 2]

With the speed problems hopefully sorted I would like to thank everyone involved with helping resolve this long and stressful issue.

Thanks to Noikz, mjdj and others who's input as to problems status wise have been invaluable getting all this sorted, to NR for the publicity of this thread and a special thanks to IANTE for his knowledge and patience on the subject.

Let's hope this is all sorted now, but once again thank you to SkyUser who without I'd still probably be in the dark.
