      Sky Max slowdown

      HI,
      I have sky max and have had it since August last yr. It was running along nicely at about 3.5megs download and 1meg upload. Then about 6 weeks ago the speed dropped to 0.60 megs download and 0.35 upload. Ive reported this to Sky technical twice and all they say is that my line is fine and shoudl run at 4.5 megs blah blah.

      Obviously, ive seen lots of similar reports of speed slowdowns. And mostly seem to be happening teh past 4-6 weeks. Im not sure what to do now really. Just grin and bear it or keep on complaining to sky? Any help/guidance would be greatly appreaciated.

      your line has been capped quite severely...best call Sky...

      When i called them and asked if my line has been capped i did ask them if i had been capped and they said no. Is is something that i would need to speak to a "manager" about? Its not that DLM thing is it?

      Well i called them up and had a little moan saying I think my line has been capped and ive down all the tests etc. Mentioned this website . Anyway, that was 2 hrs ago and now my stats are:

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
      Connection Speed 4032 kbps 768 kbps
      Line Attenuation 53.0 db 31.5 db
      Noise Margin 7.4 db 11.0 db


      WHHOOOPPPEEEE lol. Back to normality for me anyway. Though I am envious of all the people that are getting 16megs download speeds.

      no problem ... glad your back to normal... yes i envy them too especally because i can get only 2mb...
