      Opera has a lot to offer. Integrated email, very fast and because it's only used by a few it is subject to less specific browser attacks than IE or FF.

      I also like Google Chrome (it uses the same open source engine as Safari so is subject to the same problems).

      Def Fire Fox. You can even get an `IE Tabs plug-in` which you can use for downloading stuff of MS sites or switch the page rendering to IE. You still need to have IE installed but you`ll never have to open the bloody thing again

      Another vote for Opera here. Once you've used mouse gestures you'll never use anything else!

      What you need is IETAB. It's a Firefox extension which does exactly what it says on the tin, lets you open a tab in Internet Explorers engine, but within a Firefox tab.

      Win, Win situation.

      only reason i use FF is IE is a bit slow, other than that its an awesome browser - and IE8 in Windows 7 is on par with FF IMO...

      Firefox always seems to make Windows XP completely lock up for me.

      Google Chrome gets my vote.

      @gill07
      It looks like you have a corrupt Firefox Profile, which is not deleted when you uninstall Firefox. This may be fixed by deleting the Profile and creating another. Details on this can be found here-

      Had opera for about a month just testing it out, and uninstalled it, back to old faithful, FF
