      Cannot connect to iStore!

Hi, I cant connect to the iStore from my iTunes. Apple Help says that it might be something to do with opening the relevant ports on my router, I have a black netgear router. I think i have tried everything else including firewalls, deleting host files, etc..... Any ideas about solving this conundrum?

Have you tried with an alternate browser? ie Fiefox instead of IE or vice-versa.

You might also want to try changing the DNS servers to OpenDNS, preferred and alternate - 208.67.222.222
      208.67.220.220

if its the itunes store you dont use a browser....

hmm yeah i guess you could play with the dns... but i personally think a firewall is stopping him

have u disabled your firewall because it might be blocking the itunes port

      Re: Cannot connect to iStore!

Unlikely to be the router's firewall as all outbound ports are open by default and anyway, iTunes Store requires only TCP ports 80 (web) and 443 (ssl) - If these are blocked then browsing wouldn't work either.

More likely to be solved by reinstalling iTunes I'd say than by mucking about with firewall settings. Just a guess.
