That's an awfult lot of porn, or a lot of awful porn but TB's per month that'll make Sky regret getting rid of the FUP.

Would be also worth checking out the cable and faceplate threads. As you shove higher speeds down the line, line errors become more of a problem. If your cabling isn't spot on you will get disconnections. I had a stable connection with BT but when I switched to a higher speed with Sky I suffered constant disconnections 6 or 7 times a day. After making some changes to my phone wiring I stay connected for months at a time now. Try plugging the router into the test socket behind the face plate of your master socket would be the first step.

great advice coming in, will try all tomorrow
the wiring is a possibility, its been happening more and more since we had skyHD installed, the guy installing it was a complete and utter cowboy who had nfi what he was doing and ripped a few wires

he also tried to sell my folks a really expensive HDMI cable saying cheaper ones don't work as well, i'm so glad i was there to oversee it

Make sure the HD box is plugged into a filter. TV fitters do not supply them, although the splitter they sometimes plug in looks like a filter, it is not.
