I just walked past the kidsgrove exchange and there was a Sky van outside and 2 guys carrying wireing and equipment inside the place so that looks good...

Also my BT friend thinks that they have temp put Sky users on a temp server box whilest they work on the main one and this would be the reason we are getting very slow speeds, but thats not fact thats just what he says happens sometimes when they do this kind of work..

Let's hope they're doing that at the Alsager exchange. Has anyone found out if they are as I'm at work.

<Buttlane here, on the same kidsgrove exchange and on the phone to sky currently. Lines been dropping out since 2am last night. Has similar line probs from the last week. Lets hope it was a sky van sorting the prob out an not just installing a dish for the nubs sitting in there

Ive just been passed the Alsager Exchange and no Vans there.

But since last night I have seen my Speeds drop like a rock.

Any news if they will be there again tonight?

Your guess is as good as mine!!! The CS adviser said they were there about 5mins after I passed and that they were replacing cabling and more cabling until error is found. Must be using those amazing invisible vans again.......

      Re: Sky speed problems

Both exchanges are still showing on the status page. Therefore still being worked on. I am pretty sure our friends will tell us any further updates, and we shall pass these on asap.

It is also feasible that one van van took all workers to both exchanges and then parked at the other. Just because a van is not outside an exchange doesn't mean there's no one there.

The other possibility has already been mentioned, that there is a spur between both exchanges or in layman's terms a daisy chain. Therefore it may not need workers at both locations as the fault could be just at one.
