This was Tier 2... of which he then said I'll put you through to someone else, of which he tried and nobody answers the phone and then Tier 2 guy said they would ring back....I'm still waiting!!!!!

      Re: Sky speed problems

I've just rang sky and spoke to Saudi arabia or somewhere, spoke to a girl who sounded like she couldn't give a damn despite the fact that i'm helping to pay her wage.

Anyway, "there's still a problem on the line" I am told - Woop woop - tell me something I didn't know you clown!! She went onto tell me that they were looking into the problems at the exchange. She then told me (conveniently) that they'd just got an update and that engineers were due on site tonight....hmmm....have I heard this one before I ask?

I quizzed how they could be looking into it if they weren't there. she didn't really have an answer for that one. I am not going elsewhere unless sky will pay the difference between their broadband (which they can't supply as advertised) and another provider. I have pointed out that they are loosing customers hand over fist here for a simple lack of communication.

We understand that there's a problem and that problems happen but the fact that you speak to one operator who tells you the problems in your house and that there's no problem at the exchange and then you speak to another and its a completely different story, doesn't really inspire me with confidence.

Anyway, i've been told I need to speak to the billing department regarding a refund so that's going to be my next phone call I think

I'm ranting, I need to go.

      Tarar a bit

She told you the truth, I reported that a few hours ago. It is physically on the Broadband Status page that Sky have for internal use.

We understand that there's a problem and that problems happen but the fact that you speak to one operator who tells you the problems in your house and that there's no problem at the exchange and then you speak to another and its a completely different story, doesn't really inspire me with confidence.
It is quite possible that overseas agents do not have access to the internal pages. And are reliant on other agents to pass that info on. Not ideal but quite possible.

      Note to every one.

I understand that people are angry and upset over this charade, however please not lets get personal about any agents and try to keep this discussion civil rather than let it get to a state of people just venting their anger.

Sky are more than aware of the goings on at the two listed exchanges, they have decided not to report on open forums. Therefore we are reliant on those who work there, to pass the information on. Lets not annoy them - so that the information stops flowing.

03:47 - Sky link still up, but unable to connect to anything, which I find strangely reassuring. Looks like work is being done.

I'd try running a few tests before you get too excited, throughput has dropped again, just like the last "repair".

      Re: Sky speed problems

Not being funny, but my "broadband" is that slow this morning, it can't even bring its-self to do a speedtest. It has taken me 10 minutes to get to this page! Absolutely ridiculous. I think they're just making it worse.

      Anyone else in Goldenhill?
