Check here to see what you line should be able to get ,
Remember this is a rough guess only ,
Sky User - Help and Support for Sky TV and Sky Broadband

But as krysis said your access speed is ok for your line attenuation.

Just checked the link and this was my result:
We have determined that your line is capable of upto 3mb or 3000Kbps.

      Re: Help really low kp/s

Ok so you are not far off it ,

Sync Speed: Downstream 2106kb/s Upstream 736kb/s
Attenuation: Downstream 57db Upstream is 34db
Noise margin: Downstream 6db Upstream 9db

You mite be better to try the test socket as this rules out a wiring issue ,
But if you get the same speed in the test socket there is not much more you can do .

      Re: Help really low kp/s

Your router is syncing a little low for your attenuation (line length) and that's probably due to some line noise.

Your throughput at 1566kbps is only a shade low for your sync which is probably down to you using wireless.

As suggested, now you need to determine where the noise is coming from. If you can eliminate it then your attenuation would support a little over 3 meg.

You say that you are using a wireless connection, so give it a shot with wired. Your are only loosing a bit of bandwidth really. You could try and optimize you TCP/IP settings with lots of programs out there, Just search TCP Optimizer in Google.
