Agree totally with all advice offered. Gaming in the evening? Forget it!

Most evenings to view a simple clip on YouTube is a nightmare. Remember, if it moves, Connect is totally useless after 5pm.

As others have said, GET OUT NOW, WHILE YOU CAN or you will regret it for the next 12 months at least (contract).

^ it's NOT a nightmare at all, I can stream perfectly well...

Gaming, yes, I'd say leave but for normal browsing Connect is fine...I can stream ALL videos/music and still download at the same rate at ALL times...

whether I'm lucky or you were extremely UN-lucky I can't comment but don't taint Connect for ALL users with the same brush...

I think you are lucky to be on an exchange with relatively few Connect customers and others are unlucky enough to be on exchanges which are over-subscribed. Contention also comes into play as well as throttling.

Absolutely, so that means others are probably on less congested exchanges also...

I agree people needing a constant good stream should leave but not everyone...

      Hi all
Once again thanks for the advice, I phoned them about 30 mins ago and canceled.
Though they send the Mac code out now instead of giving it to you over the phone.
Ive also found out that ADSL2+ Will be available by the end of the month in my area so Ill be signing up to ADSL24 as it should be good enough for gaming

      Once again thanks all.

I am on a rural exchange, with very few 'customers' and I experienced miserable speeds after 5pm whilst with Connect. Change ISP and as if by magic my speed is multiplied by 6.

I am unsure if contention features in this particular problem with Connect.

Then you were an unlucky one, but at least you've moved...

Sky definitely need to make a decision either way...

Re: Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down?

not as many as you'd think Steve...just the 50 or so people who've complained on this thread and a handful more who call in...I'd say 100 or so...
